Medicine and Mobilization as Metaphor

In this paper, I explored how society responded to calls to action in response to different diseases; starting with FDR’s March of Dimes, moving to Nixon’s War on Cancer, gay mens’ response to HIV/Aids Silence = Death, and finally, the commercialization of breast cancer and the Race for the Cure.
